The word is out!  TigerTown is coming to Detroit.  We are so excited about placing artistically decorated Tiger sculptures throughout Birmingham and environs.  As you can see from the enclosed materials, the Tigers will be approximately four feet tall. 

The Tigers will be on display from April through mid-June.  That means that tens of thousands of people will be able to view the Tigers.

Each of the Tigers will have a sponsor who may display its Tiger wherever it wishes.  A plaque will be placed in close proximity to the Tiger identifying its sponsor.  A Call-to-Enter for prospective artists will be mailed in late October.  A sponsor may select a design and artist from the submitted entries, or a sponsor may contact an artist of its choice to decorate its Tiger.  Funds generated from sponsorships will be used to cover the costs of manufacturing and installing the Tigers and a stipend for the artists’ materials and labor.

The Tigers will be auctioned at an event to be held in June 2007.  Proceeds will support the Children’s Charities Coalition.

We have a limited number of Tigers available, so be sure to join TigerTown with your commitment by February 1, 2007.
